Nita’s Book

Introducing Nita, the White Crow

Once upon a time there was a crow, but no ordinary kind of crow.  Nobody is sure why she was chosen to be white. But maybe she was lucky to be born a distinctly different looking albino crow. Sometimes Mother Nature likes to play tricks on us with such an unusual coloring.

А small white crow had no name and no place to call home. One day, she flew into a quiet garden—and the old man there called her Nita. From that moment, everything began to change. She set out to see the world, find true friends, and discover where she truly belonged.

Lunch at Tommy’s

Arriving at Rosabel, the Witch’s House

The friends stopped at Rosabel’s gate and looked at the odd looking Palace.

Tommy the Troll asked if they liked the look of this house?  He proudly asserted that he had designed and built this fantastic palace, putting great effort into every architectural detail. Prior to it being built, there was a design competition between him, Huey, and Flop the Frog .

The troll proudly said that he had easily won the competition and the others were very unhappy with him being chosen to build it .. they were just jealous, sore losers.  Huey rolled his eyes and quietly said to Nita, “Have you ever seen such an architectural horror?”

Annie and Lucy, the Girlbugs

As Nita got closer, she could see the houses were in the shape of a huge upside down tulip and a lily. These two talkative girlbugs were drinking tea at a garden table. One was very tall and the other very small. She loved their fashionable outfits that were very bright, multi-colored and stylish.

The girlbugs managed to keep talking without taking a breath, and criss cross their conversations on different  subjects –  Nita had seen this hectic communication style before in her flock, but not at this level of speed and understanding.

Rosabel, the Witch’s House

Suddenly, a house popped out in front of them from behind a flowering Bougainvillea bush.

The house looked grandiose but was actually miniature in size.  It seemed to give a huge appearance because of the many distinct architectural details, but something just wasn’t right with its design . There were many balconies, small turrets and several other small buildings, all too confusing to look at for too long.

Nita meets Jacob the Scorpion

Astronomer Jacob lives in the observatory desert and studies the stars and planets. He joyfully greeted Nita and treated her to cactus fruits. Scorpio told the crow about the constellation Scorpio and congratulated her on the fact that there is also the constellation Raven in the sky (which means Crow).

Nita Meets Millie the Turtle
Millie the Turtle said that she was an avid athlete. At the moment, she was mastering high jumping with a pole to feel the joy of flying above the ground.
Don’t you want to try pole vaulting too, geting off the ground and diving into the water? The crow politely replied, I actually gravitate more towards aviation sports.
Millie said, I also love aviation sports! However, the last time I jumped with a parachute, it did not open. The flight turned out to be shorter than I would have liked. I did not have time to enjoy the views and the feeling of free soaring. But it still was a lot of fun!

Wilford the Waterboy

Nita Meets Flop the Frog
Excuse me, does Flop the Frog live here? The fashionably dressed frog shuddered, then quickly gathered himself, straightened up and said. Actually, not a Flop, but a Flop IV von Gutenmorgen… Well, almost, he added after a pause, embarrassed.
However, for friends it’s just a Flop IV, he said after thinking. Or just Flop. I have almost completed all the papers to confirm the pedigree up to the 16th knee, he added quietly.
Then his importance somehow quickly fell off, he grabbed Nita by the wing and dragged her into the house. What noble colors your feathers have! Blood and origin are immediately visible! Exactly, exactly, we need to look in the archives, I even have a lot of guesses where our investigation may lead… Scotland! Flop shouted with delight.
